You may think of what you're holding at this moment as a poetry collection. And you have every reason to believe so. After all, there are 21 pieces on the following pages, and I've also labeled it as such. But that's what you see. To me, this is rather a collection of my responses to specific events, experiences, questions, and people that pained and depressed me. But also of ones that inspired me. And as the reader may agree, 'responses' is a bit more accurate way to label my work than 'poems' since there's nothing particularly poetic in the lack of rhythm, meter, and even the presence of poor rhyme at times. Yet, I've achieved something that seems to be particularly hard these days—shot my bullets and planted my flowers in my own manner.
